TRENTON (Feb. 20) — New Jersey State Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick announced today that Assemblyman Christopher J. Brown has been named to the Budget Committee.

“Assemblyman Brown has created an impressive business and has served in local, county and state offices, giving him excellent expertise and experience to represent taxpayers,” Bramnick, R-Union, Morris and Somerset, said. “He knows how to stick to a budget, supports reducing spending and cutting taxes, and will be a tremendous asset to our state as we finish the job of making New Jersey more affordable.”

Brown, serving his first term in the Assembly, is a member of the Military and Veterans Affairs, State Government and Higher Education committees. He has previously served as Deputy Freeholder Director in Burlington County and Deputy Mayor in Evesham, where he still lives. He is the CEO of Guardian Property & Casualty, Guardian Settlement Agents, and RE/MAX Connection real estate offices.

“I am honored and excited to serve on the Budget Committee at such an important time for New Jersey’s economic future,” Brown, R-Burlington, Camden and Atlantic, said. “With Governor Christie’s leadership, New Jersey has created jobs and cut spending without raising taxes. As a businessman who has served his community in several elected offices, I understand how important it is for us to reach across the aisle and keep moving our state’s economy in the right direction.”
