Three Years in a Row for Re/Max Connection Realtors: 2013 #1 Re/Max Co. for Units

MARLTON (Feb. 27) – It’s three-in-a-row for RE/MAX Connection Realtors as the agency – for the third-straight year – has been named the number one-ranked RE/MAX real estate company in New Jersey.

The year 2013 ended the same as 2012 and 2011 for RE/MAX Connection, with the agency’s three offices – in Marlton, Burlington County and in Mantua and Turnersville, Gloucester County – combining to close more real estate transactions than any other RE/MAX operation in the state.  In 2013, RE/MAX Connection closed on 1,717 units, up from both its state-leading total of 1,383 in 2012 and the number-one amount of 1,122 in 2011.

The RE/MAX Connection Turnersville operation was number two in the state in units closed for individual offices with the Marlton operation finishing seventh in units.  On a separate list, the Turnersville office was number eight in the amount of commissions paid to Realtors in 2013.

Among individual honors, RE/MAX Connection Turnersville agent John Swartz was the number one RE/MAX agent in the state last year in units sold.  His colleague David Beach, also from the Turnersville operation, finished number three statewide.

“Our strong performance year after year is a result of the hard work and customer focus of our outstanding Realtors,” said RE/MAX Connection CEO Christopher J. Brown.  “We’ve always said the best agents in New Jersey work at RE/MAX Connection and, once again this year, the statistics prove our point.

“In addition to our Realtors, I’m extremely proud of our management team and support staff,” Brown said. “Our collective goal is to produce the best results we can every day for our clients as we help them buy or sell property.”

Two teams of Realtors from RE/MAX Connection also made the top 10 in collective team unit sales for 2013.  The team of Peter Sklikas and Kimberly Schempp, from the Turnersville office, finished the year in eighth place while the team led by Scott Kompa, from the RE/MAX Connection Mantua office, was in 10th place on the statewide units-sold list.

The team of Sklikas and Schempp also was ninth in the state for commissions received.  Their compensation – between $500,000 and $999,000 — also earned them RE/MAX Chairman’s Club award status.

“It takes a strong team effort to, first, achieve these results, and then to maintain them year after year,” said Kevin Bayzath, Broker of Record for RE/MAX Connection.  “It’s great to receive statewide recognition for such hard work.”

“Our Realtors take the time to listen to their customers, to understand their needs and to work with them on their goals,” said Kevin Burbage, associate broker and manager of the RE/MAX Connection offices in Mantua and Turnersville.

Five RE/MAX Connection agents also were recognized for attaining Hall of Fame Club status by topping $1 million in lifetime gross commissions since joining RE/MAX International:  Four are from the Turnersville office – Sklikas, Richard Bradford, Janet Larsen and Christopher McKenty – and one, Kompa, works out of the RE/MAX Connection Mantua operation.

Realtor Joseph Granato, from the RE/MAX Connection office in Turnersville, also received a special commendation for his 25 years of professional real estate service.

A Very Promising Report by Joel Naroff, President and Chief Economist

President and Chief Economist

INDICATOR: November New Home Sales and Durable Goods Orders
KEY DATA: New Homes: -2.1%; Prices (Year-over-Year): +10.6%/Durables: +3.5%; Capital Spending: +4.5%

IN A NUTSHELL:   “It’s a holly, jolly data Christmas for the economy as all signs point to an accelerating economy.”

WHAT IT MEANS:  While retailers may be readying themselves for the post-Christmas sale of all sales because of sluggish December sales, the economy itself is not the problem, by any means.   Durable goods orders surged in November as a large number of industries posted robust gains in demand.  The machinery, computers, communications equipment, vehicles and aircraft industries all did extremely well.  Only metals and electrical equipment and appliances were down.  Non-defense, non-aircraft capital goods orders, the best measure of private investment activity, jumped sharply as well, pointing to growing confidence on the part of businesses.  Even with firms pushing the product out the door, inventories still built and that points to improving output in the months to come.

Not only did big-ticket demand grow hardily, but households weren’t really Grinches when it came to buying homes.  Okay, home sales eased in November, but at least when it comes to new homes, the level of demand remained quite strong.  There was a nearly eighteen percent jump in demand in October so the modest decline in November still puts sales at the second highest pace in 5½ years.  Prices were up quite strongly while inventories keep falling.  That is a recipe for further prices increases.

It’s beginning to look a like strong growth,
Everywhere you see.
Take a look at the durables goods,
They’re robust once again,
With housing prices causing lots of glee.

Okay, I’m a really bad poet and I apologize for ripping off a wonderful Meredith Wilson song, but it’s nice to bring something positive to the economic story.  So on that note, I will simply say:
Merry Christmas

Brenda Richmond named new Broker Manager of Re/Max Connection Realtors

Email: kbayzath@aol.com

EVESHAM (December 19) – Realtor Brenda Richmond has been named a Broker-Manager at RE/MAX Connection Realtors, the largest RE/MAX real estate agency in New Jersey.

Richmond will join Kevin Bayzath, Broker of Record, and Kevin Burbage, Broker Associate, as day-to-day operations leaders of the three-office agency, said RE/MAX Connection CEO Christopher J. Brown.  Richmond has been a Realtor for 18 years.

“Brenda’s focus will be to create a robust agent education program and an agent mentor program,” Brown said in describing Richmond’s new responsibilities, adding that she also will work to bring greater process efficiency to the agency through technology.

The three RE/MAX Connection offices – in Marlton, Mantua and Turnersville – successfully closed 1,396 transactions in 2012, more than any other RE/MAX agency in the state, and posted a sales volume of more than $239 million. In 2011, RE/MAX Connection also finished number one in New Jersey by closing 1,417 transactions worth more than $218 million.

“Our growth in 2013 will be about 23 percent and we’re on target to close more than 1,500 transactions this year,” Brown said.  “I think these are great numbers, but our goal is to expand our business 30 percent and close more than 2000 real estate transactions.
“I believe with addition of Brenda and her ideas along with the current managers, Kevin Bayzath and Kevin Burbage we will achieve this aggressive goal,” he continued.

Richmond was part of the executive team at Commerce Bank and helped create the bank’s award-winning “Customer WOW” program.  She also worked with top executives at the bank to create positive experiences for employees and customers and played a key role in boosting Commerce into a nationally known financial institution.

Richmond is a past president of the Southern NJ Regional Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.  Under her leadership, the organization grew from a small membership to one of the most influential business groups in South Jersey.

She also is a graduate of the Real Estate Institute and has achieved such professional designations as Senior Real Estate Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert and Accredited Buyers Representative.

Brenda and her family reside in Burlington County.  She volunteers with many organizations and serves on several boards and committees.  You can contact her at 609-238-5546 or at barichmond8@gmail.com.

Great Job Evelyn Kramer!

Good afternoon Mr Bayzath

I would like to recognize the exceptional work of Evelyn Kramer.  Two months
ago, I received Evelyn’s name as a highly recommended realtor.  After meeting
her for the first time, I was so impressed that I suggested my son solicit her
realtor services as well.  Since both my son and I were looking for rental
property, she simultaneously juggled a barrage of questions and a long list of
places to show.  They were not centrally located, so she spent a great deal of
time with us and was consistently available based on our schedules.  Quite
impressive to say the least!   As we continued down this road of searching for
investment property, she assessed the best fit for each of us individually, and
within 6 weeks we both had property ready to be purchased.  She expertly guided
us through the offer process, negotiations after home inspections, and lastly
the financing.

I believed the hardest part was over and that financing would be a breeze.  I
discovered lending is an arduous task.   As I continued down this road, Evelyn
was in constant communication with the lender ensuring all the “T’s” were
crossed and “I’s” dotted, confirming my lender was on point with the commitment
letter, etc.  As I approach the finish line, I am compelled to write this email
expressing my deepest gratitude for her exceptional service and expertise.  My
goal to purchase investment property has far exceeded my expectations.   Words
cannot begin to capture the excellence with which she handled my purchase.
Actions can and this is the sole purpose of this email…to share with you the
exceptional realtor you have in Evelyn.  Please recognize her through
appropriate channels.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for having this star on
your team!

With deep gratitude,
